C.A.R.E.S.-
Cooperation (working smoothly with others)
Assertiveness (confidently putting forth your ideas and opinions)
Responsibility (taking charge of yourself and working hard at your learning)
Self-control (thinking before acting)
Empathy (listening to others and understanding how they might respond to your words or actions)
Take a Break Chair-
When students need redirection or a chance to think about behavior choices, they will be asked to take a break. At the take a break chair, they will have time to take some deep breaths, think about the behavior they need to change, and return to class when they are ready. If a student takes repetitive visits to the take a break chair or the behavior continues, other consequences will be enforced. Parents will be notified if the student behavior does not improve or if it worsens.
